Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and address inquiries regarding tax filings.
- Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide well-reasoned solutions to the tax team.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes.
- Stay updated on evolving federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Maintain organized and secure client files and records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or accounting is preferred.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, ProSystem fx, Lacerte, UltraTax).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- CPA or EA certification is a strong plus but not required.
