Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in Oakland, CA. This is an urgent hiring opportunity for a dedicated professional to manage our daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in our accounting records.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our clients. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and prepare monthly financial statements. Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly with 100% accuracy.
- Process payroll using QuickBooks Online (or similar software).
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and ensure timely payment collection.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Maintain and organize financial records, spreadsheets, and digital documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding account status and billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with payroll processing (ADP, Gusto, or similar).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
