Responsibilities
- Generate, review, and issue accurate invoices to clients and insurance providers in a timely manner.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable (AR) to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Verify and post patient payments, adjustments, and insurance reimbursements.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejected claims.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records and filing systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, vendors, and insurance carriers regarding outstanding balances.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or general accounting.
- Proficiency with medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and insurance verification processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
