Responsibilities
- Review and process billing invoices and statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments to minimize bad debt.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries regarding charges and payments.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliation statements.
- Maintain and update patient or client billing records in our ERP system.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or medical billing.
- Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
