Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and ensure timely employee payments
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Manage VAT submissions and HMRC compliance
- Support audit preparations and financial analysis
- Optimize accounting processes using Xero and QuickBooks
- Collaborate with senior finance leadership on strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' UK bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Exceptional Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Relevant degree in accounting/finance preferred
