Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Conduct in-depth tax research to interpret complex regulations and support client decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax planning strategies, audit responses, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of complex financial statements and supporting schedules for audits.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal control procedures and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with senior staff to develop and implement efficient tax workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. tax laws, GAAP, and relevant state tax codes.
- Proficiency in tax software such as ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, or Lacerte.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
