Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and corporations with precision and timeliness.
- Conduct in-depth tax research to ensure full compliance with current regulations and identify optimization opportunities for clients.
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and professionally with clients to resolve inquiries and provide strategic advice.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, and footnotes for external audits.
- Manage the corporate tax calendar to ensure timely filing of all required documents and extensions.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop tax strategies that improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and organize tax documentation for future reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting (internship experience will be considered).
- Strong working knowledge of US tax codes, regulations, and GAAP principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) highly desired.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
