Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain complex tax concepts.
- Utilize industry-standard tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, Lacerte) to process returns.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and strategic planning for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required.
- CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
