Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with the annual audit process, including documentation and coordination with external auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in the budgeting process and provide variance analysis to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
