Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle of accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) for management review.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparations, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software platforms.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Self-motivated individual with strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable internet connection required for remote work.
