Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and support the year-end audit process.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to track financial data and generate reports.
- Communicate financial findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- High level of attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
