Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and filings.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger systems.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Provide detailed financial reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Process payroll and manage expense reports for remote employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA or CPA eligible is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
