Responsibilities
- Manage the General Ledger: Perform month-end and year-end close procedures accurately and on time.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Income Statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Monitor and process invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile bank accounts.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in the monthly payroll process, ensuring tax filings and deductions are correct.
- Compliance & Audits: Maintain up-to-date records for internal and external audits and tax filings.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement new software solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage) is highly desirable.
