Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 5-7 client portfolios including AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Lead tax preparation processes including sales tax returns, payroll taxes, and quarterly filings
- Implement and optimize accounting systems using QuickBooks Online, Xero, and NetSuite platforms
- Provide strategic financial insights through variance analysis and budget forecasting support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency
- Mentor junior accountants and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA with significant progress toward completion
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP)
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
- Self-motivated professional with ability to thrive in remote work environment
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) preferred
