Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately receive, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system within 24 hours.
- Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding payments and statements.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements to ensure balances are accurate and resolve discrepancies.
- Data Management: Maintain and update the vendor database and general ledger accounts as needed.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing month-end and year-end closing schedules and financial reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all AP processes adhere to company policies and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required; however, previous clerical or administrative experience is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Experience with ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) is a significant advantage.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams.
- Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
