Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-month-end accounting cycles including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor management
- Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a remote environment
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
