Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyse management accounts, balance sheets, and profit/loss statements
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Manage VAT returns, payroll processing, and corporate tax submissions
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain accurate client financial records using Xero and QuickBooks platforms
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting certification
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in UK tax legislation and statutory reporting requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with remote team collaboration tools (Slack, Teams, Asana)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing regulations
