Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes including month-end closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards
- Lead tax compliance activities including VAT returns, corporation tax filings, and HMRC communications
- Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial planning and forecasting
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems with proficiency in Sage 50 and Xero
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership for informed decision-making
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
- Proven expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting within UK regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query) and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with experience in variance analysis and financial modeling
- Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Experience managing remote teams or working in distributed environments
