Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now platform
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations including FLSA, ERISA, and garnishment laws
- Manage year-end reconciliations, W-2 distribution, and 1099 processing
- Oversee time and attendance systems, PTO accruals, and benefit deductions
- Conduct internal audits and payroll variance analysis for accuracy
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on compensation strategy implementation
- Lead payroll system upgrades and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience with ADP systems
- Advanced knowledge of federal/state tax regulations and wage-hour laws
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and HRIS systems
- Proven track record in payroll audit and compliance management
- Exceptional attention to detail with 0% error tolerance
- Experience managing payroll for unionized workforce
