Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 500+ employees including multi-state tax compliance
- Oversee garnishment deductions, benefit deductions, and 401(k) contributions
- Conduct internal audits and reconcile payroll discrepancies with HRIS systems
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax filings (941, 940, state unemployment)
- Collaborate with HR on compensation analysis and payroll policy development
- Lead system implementations and process improvements for payroll platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or comparable payroll systems
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of federal/state labor laws and FLSA regulations
- Expert-level Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Proven experience with payroll audits and compliance reporting
