Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of borrower financial statements, credit reports, and collateral to assess creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and risk assessment criteria.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and recommendations for credit approval or denial.
- Monitor existing accounts for signs of financial distress and proactively manage delinquencies.
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and internal credit policies.
- Collaborate with loan officers and underwriting teams to resolve complex credit issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis or underwriting within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP) and financial modeling software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
