Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200+ employees using [Payroll Software Name] with 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute monthly paystubs, W-2s, and 1099s in compliance with IRS and state regulations.
- Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and ensure timely filings with state and federal authorities.
- Answer employee inquiries regarding payroll deductions, time-off balances, and direct deposit issues.
- Assist in the onboarding of new hires by setting up their payroll profiles and tax forms.
- Collaborate with the HR team to update payroll policies and improve internal processes.
- Perform monthly audits of payroll data to identify and correct discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in payroll administration.
- Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, or Ceridian).
- Strong knowledge of FLSA regulations, tax laws, and payroll tax reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly.
