Responsibilities
- Calculate and process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for all employees using ADP or equivalent software.
- Ensure accurate processing of timecards, overtime calculations, and shift differentials.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports (W-2s and 1099s).
- Process garnishments, child support orders, and other legal deductions accurately.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents, and payroll deductions.
- Perform regular audits of payroll records to ensure data integrity and compliance with FLSA regulations.
- Collaborate with the HR team to update employee information and address changes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources preferred.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and MS Office Suite.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll issues to non-financial staff.
