Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, FICA, NC withholding)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax filings accurately
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in real-time
- Prepare year-end tax forms (W-2, 1099) and audit reports
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Implement process improvements using Excel and QuickBooks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP Workforce Now certification required
- Deep knowledge of FLSA, ACA, and NC payroll regulations
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred
- Proven ability to manage confidential employee data
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
