Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy in gross-to-net calculations.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly pay statements (W-2s) and process tax filings for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
  • Reconcile payroll bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies or inquiries from employees regarding pay stubs.
  • Assist in the onboarding and offboarding process by updating employee records in the HRIS and updating tax forms (W-4, I-9).
  • Monitor leave of absence requests, track accrued leave balances, and communicate with management regarding staffing.
  • Conduct regular audits of timekeeping data to ensure compliance with FLSA regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to implement process improvements and automated payroll solutions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in payroll processing or a similar administrative finance role.
  • Proficient knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., FLSA, ERISA).
  • Advanced proficiency in ADP, QuickBooks, or similar payroll software.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex payroll information to non-financial staff.
