Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish wages for tax levies, child support, and wage attachments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, FICA, MI Unemployment)
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare quarterly/annual tax filings (941, 940, W-2)
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS system
- Collaborate with HR on benefits deductions and time-off accruals
- Conduct annual payroll audits for internal control verification
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Business or 3+ years payroll processing experience
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent payroll software proficiency
- Deep knowledge of FLSA overtime calculations and state labor laws
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing (MI, OH, IN)
- Proven ability to handle confidential data with discretion
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
