Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific financial regulations
- Develop and maintain robust financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and internal controls assessments
- Optimize accounting processes using ERP systems (Sage Intacct experience preferred)
- Mentor junior accountants and provide financial insights to executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and ERP system experience
- Proven track record of improving financial reporting processes and controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Self-motivated with ability to thrive in remote work environment
