Apex Financial Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Remote Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable workflow, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage the accounts payable ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Prepare and issue monthly payments via wire transfer and check.
- Assist with the month-end close process, including accruals and financial reporting.
- Maintain and update vendor master records and contact information.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status via email and phone.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including 3-way matching and reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
