Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with variance analysis
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with audit-ready documentation
- Oversee sales tax filings and compliance with Wisconsin state regulations
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks Online and Excel automation
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in public accounting or similar environment
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and Wisconsin tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions with 99.9% accuracy
- Strong analytical skills for financial reporting and variance interpretation
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) strongly preferred
