Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports with clear recommendations for loan approvals/declines
- Monitor existing credit portfolios for early risk detection and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (SOX, FFIEC)
- Develop risk assessment models and refine underwriting criteria
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, financial modeling)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of cash flow analysis, collateral valuation, and covenant structures
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
