- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to determine creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance with loan covenants and identify early warning signals
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay current with regulatory changes affecting lending practices
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience with regional banks
- Expertise in financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling
- Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics)
- CFP or CFA designation highly desirable
- Proven ability to evaluate complex industries (manufacturing, healthcare, tech)
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders
