Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance programs in strict accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and operational inefficiencies.
- Monitor changes in regulatory laws and industry standards to ensure organizational alignment and proactive adaptation.
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations and internal control weaknesses with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and presentations for executive leadership and external regulatory bodies.
- Train staff on compliance policies, procedures, and legal requirements to foster a culture of accountability.
- Collaborate with legal, internal audit, and operational departments to mitigate systemic risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management within the financial or corporate sector.
- Deep understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, including SEC regulations, FINRA rules, or state-specific compliance laws.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable compliance strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Professional certification such as CFE, CIA, CPA, or CCE is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
