Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns (Individual, Corporate, and Partnership) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Analyze financial statements and tax data to identify potential deductions and tax-saving strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve tax inquiries, gather documentation, and explain complex tax regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.
- Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, Drake) to manage large caseloads efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of research memos and support for IRS audits or examinations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or corporate tax environment.
- Deep understanding of US tax codes, GAAP, and IRS regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and error detection.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
