Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping duties, including sales and purchase ledgers.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns in accordance with UK HMRC guidelines.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Process invoices, expenses, and payroll assistance as required.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders regarding financial queries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role (Minimum 2 years).
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage accounting software.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of transactions.
- Relevant professional qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
