Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile sales and purchase ledgers accurately and on time.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and credit control activities.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Generate accurate financial reports and manage payroll assistance.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers.
Qualifications
- Full AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent professional accounting experience.
- Proven experience using cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of UK tax legislation and accounting standards.
