Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Reconciliation: Perform accurate monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- AP/AR Management: Process accounts payable invoices and manage accounts receivable collections.
- Payroll Support: Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Bookkeeping Software: Maintain and update ledgers using QuickBooks and Xero.
- Expense Management: Review and verify employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to internal policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive financial data.
- Availability: Ability to work hybrid (Memphis, TN) or fully remote.
