Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are correct.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and tax packages.
- Monitor and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are up-to-date.
- Prepare and file necessary sales and use tax returns.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
