Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are recorded and payments are made on time.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and financial statements.
- Process payroll for the small team, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are accurate.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, including journal entries and accruals.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and audit support.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Valid California driver's license and access to a vehicle may be required for occasional office visits.
