Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and track accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure cash balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the processing and reporting of payroll data, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to all financial laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, general accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
