Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Financial Operations: Handle full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure bank statements match internal records and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Payroll Management: Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses, verifying receipts and approving invoices according to company policy.
- Compliance & Audits: Maintain organized financial records and assist in the preparation for annual audits or tax filings.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero, as well as Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and correct them without supervision.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Organization: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines in a high-volume environment.
