Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance analysis
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations
- Oversee sales tax filings, payroll tax compliance, and financial audits
- Implement and optimize accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero)
- Develop customized financial reporting for client stakeholders
- Collaborate with CFOs on budget forecasting and cash flow optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-entity portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VBA a plus)
- Proven track record of managing complex payroll systems and tax compliance
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor or similar certification
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to microscopic detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
