Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for 15+ SME clients using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and year-end financial statements
- Oversee payroll processing and pension auto-enrolment compliance
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactively
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Implement process improvements using automation tools like Dext
- Maintain digital financial records with GDPR-compliant protocols
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with 5+ years' bookkeeping experience
- Expertise in Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage accounting software
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with Power Query and pivot table mastery
- Proven experience managing multi-currency transactions
- Exceptional attention to detail with error-spotting abilities
- Experience training junior staff on financial systems
