In this role, you will take ownership of the financial health of our clients' accounts, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and financial reports are generated on time. This is an immediate hire position offering a competitive salary and a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and monthly reports for clients.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax document preparation (1099s, W2s).
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and generate reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with payroll processing and tax preparation is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
