Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Process payroll and ensure timely tax submissions to HMRC
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with annual financial statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and cash flow monitoring
- Generate financial reports for client review and strategic planning
- Liaise with auditors and tax authorities during compliance checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' UK bookkeeping experience with VAT knowledge
- Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel functions
- AAT Level 3 or equivalent accounting qualification essential
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
