We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in London. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update general ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor management.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records monthly.
- Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and prepayments.
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations for tax filings.
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and audits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role, with at least 3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, VAT regulations, and tax compliance.
- Excellent numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
