Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for 15-20 SME clients
- Process high-volume accounts payable/receivable with 99.8% accuracy
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns via HMRC portal
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and PayPal accounts weekly
- Generate management accounts and financial analysis reports
- Liaise with auditors during annual compliance reviews
- Maintain digital filing systems with GDPR compliance
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting software workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years UK-based bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent qualification essential
- Advanced proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks Online
- Proven experience with multi-currency transactions
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Excel mastery with VLOOKUP and pivot table skills
- Excellent attention to detail with error-spotting abilities
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environment
