Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations.
- Assist with VAT returns, payroll processing, and year-end audits.
- Generate financial reports and budgets for management review.
- Process expense reports and ensure all documentation is compliant.
Qualifications
- AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification (or equivalent professional experience).
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of UK tax legislation and payroll procedures.
