Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 SME clients using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Handle accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Process VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance
- Assist with payroll processing and year-end accounts
- Implement financial controls and process improvements
- Liaise with auditors and tax authorities as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in UK bookkeeping or accounting
- Proven proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- ATT/ACCA part-qualified or equivalent qualification preferred
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and client management abilities
- Experience with multi-currency transactions beneficial
