Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and year-end audits.
- Process invoices, maintain the general ledger, and manage fixed asset registers.
- Reconcile credit card statements and handle inter-company transactions.
- Provide financial reporting support to management and senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Level 4 AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA member (essential).
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role (minimum 3-5 years).
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT legislation.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
