Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Manage payroll processing, including tax filings and garnishments, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings in collaboration with external auditors.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
